Read Genesis 21:22-24: A man named Abimelech saw something special about Abraham. Abraham's relationship with God was obvious for all to see.
Say: We want everyone to know that we have a relationship with God too. So lets use this marker and draw "God's friend" on our hands.
Pray: God, please help ______ to remember that you are always there and you are our friend. Amen.

Q: How do we show people that we know God?
God wants us to live in such a way that everyone knows that we love God. He wants us to "wear our faith on our sleeve".
So lets use this marker and draw "God's friend" on our hands. We will wear this as both an outward sign to others, but also as a reminder to ourselves that we need to show God's love in everything we do. So when we feel like being mean or not sharing toys- this sign will remind us to love God and love others.
Pray: God, please help ______ to remember that you are always there and you are our friend. Amen.

Read Genesis 21:22-24: At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do. Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you now reside as a foreigner the same kindness I have shown to you.”
Say: Abimelech could tell Abraham had a relationship with God. And we want everyone to know that we have a relationship with God too.
Q: How do we show people that we know God?
Q: Are their times when others might not see very much Jesus in you?God wants us to live in such a way that everyone knows that we love God. He wants us to "wear our faith on our sleeve".
So lets use this marker and draw "God's friend" on our hands. We will wear this for the next few days as both an outward sign to others, and also as a reminder to ourselves that we need to show God's love in everything we do. So when we feel like saying something mean or not helping others- this sign will remind us to love God and love others.
Have your child pray: God, please help me to remember that you are always there and you are our friend. Amen.

Spend time in prayer asking God to help you to "wear him on your sleeves". Ask him t bring people into your life who you can witness to. Repent of the times you feel short of this calling.
