Developing Disciple
Read: Genesis 2:18- The Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
It is not good for us to be alone. When we live without Christian community our perspectives of others, God and ourselves become malformed.
Can you think of a time in your life when you were not getting a healthy dose of Christian community?
What are some reasons people try to "go it alone" in their faith?
How would your faith be different if you only spent time with non-Christians?
How can you better seek Christian community this week? Write these ways down on a piece of paper to put next to your door. It can serve as a good reminder of accountability.
Pray: God, help me to seek others in Christ who will help spur me on in the faith. Also help me to help others to grow in their relationship with you. Amen.

Do you struggle with any of these reasons? The next time one of these "reasons" tries to dissuade you from Christian community- openly rebuke it!

Spend time in community with God and another. Go find someone to pray with. Pray about our need for Christian community.
